Week 40: Mobile Hacking

Introduction

Mobile prototyping is something we read, talk, think and breath everyday in the interaction design praxis. In the current technological landscape and supported by established business models mobile platforms offer a reach and flexibility like no other mass consumption channel. Reactive and in some cases incipient interactive experiences are created by the thousands everyday yet instead of looking at a thousand different architectures or flows we tend to see in the better case of so called “Best practices & established design patterns”.
Among many other factors “Platforms” are what lies behind this repetition of design patterns and user flows, the platform provides and the developer can focus on content. To some extent this paradigm possess inherent benefits, like learnability & predictability for the end user.
